Achica taps Webtrends for Paypal decision

Luxury online lifestyle store Achica has implemented Webtrends
Optimize to improve online conversions and gain greater insight into its
customer preferences, locations, device and browser usage. The initial phase provided
Achica with the information it needed to adopt Paypal as an additional payment
option. It had wanted to offer Paypal but was reluctant to do so without first
ensuring that it could cover the additional cost by achieving a sufficient uplift
in sales. Webtrends carried out a series of tests on the Achica payments page
with the Paypal option included and established the net effect on transactions.
Paypal used for 29.1 per cent of all transactions during the test and this
contributed an overall increase in the number of transactions of 3.22 per cent.
A slightly larger uplift, 3.63 per cent, came from mobile users. The results
have been sufficiently rewarding to see Paypal fully adopted by Achica which now
plans to use Webtrends to deliver personalised, targeted content to its
members.
