Administration looms for Pretty Green

Pretty Green has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators from Moorfields Advisory to manage an insolvency process. The loss-making retail and online menswear business which was the brainchild of Liam Gallagher, of Oasis fame, had been seeking further investment. Any buyer would be likely to acquire the brand free of its obligations. Pretty Green had been adversely affected by the administration of House of Fraser, where it had 20 concessions and which collapsed owing it more than £500,000.

A spokesperson from Moorfields Advisory commented: “The growing overall demand for the brand, coupled with a strong online customer base, position the company well to navigate these changes and we are therefore considering all options.”
