Amway India forecasts sales boom

US headquartered direct sales business Amway expects India to be among its top three markets by 2025.

It has invested Rs 6 billion in a factory in Tamil Nadu as part of its investment plan to  bring new products to the Indian market as well as to supply Europe and Africa from this facility.  India is the seventh largest market for Amway and is growing very quickly, with nutrition products leading the way followed by beauty, home care and personal care. It plans to add air purifiers and water purifiers to its offering, as well as investing in its online activities and its store chain. The business has 140 Xpress Pick & Pay stores currently and is looking to scale to 500 by 2025. 35 per cent of sales in the Indian market are currently derived from its website.
