ASOS recovers its mojo

ASOS has posted the results of the four months to December 31st which included a record Black Friday. The online giant had shipped 27.7 million orders during the period, with sales of £1.07 billion, and when its revenues from third parties are factored in, the total was £1.11 billion. UK sales were slightly shy of £409 million which was 18 per cent higher than for the same period for the year prior and international sales were up by 22 per cent, helped by a 23 per cent uplift in the USA.

“ASOS has delivered an encouraging start of the year. Strong customer acquisition activity, supported by robust operational performance has driven good momentum in all of our markets,” commented CEO Nick Beighton. Adding: “As we said in October, the focus for this year is to further enhance our capabilities and leverage the investments we have made.”
