Blackcircles.com to sponsor Formula E

The online tyre specialist Blackcircles.com has signed a headline sponsorship deal with ITV around the broadcaster’s coverage of the forthcoming Formula E series of races which begin on 13th September in Beijing, China. Already a major supporter of motorsports broadcasting in the UK – the company sponsored the Sky Sports Formula 1 channel from launch in 2012 along with brands like Rolex and Santander – the deal sees Blackcircles.com partner with ITV as the new FIA championship for racing cars powered exclusively by electric energy enters its first season. Mike Welch, CEO & founder of Blackcircles.com, said “Formula E on ITV is a great strategic fit for our business and follows on from our successful sponsorship of Formula 1’s coverage on Sky Sports. A large segment of our existing and target market is British motorsports enthusiasts and we’re also keen to support green developments in motoring.”

The Blackcircles.com business model combines a lean supply chain and online storefront supported by over 1,200 UK garages. Customers choose their tyres, book a fitting centre and order online.
