Harry’s sells in US $1.37bn deal

The Edgewell Personal Care Company has entered into an agreement to acquire the direct-to-consumer razor business Harry’s for US $1.37 billion. The transaction will see Harry’s co-founders, who also share the CEO role, join Edgewell’s executive team and become co-presidents of U.S. operations.

Edgewell owns the Schick razor brand among others and is following Unilever in wanting a piece for the direct-to consumer market. Unilever acquired Dollar Shave Club in 2016 for US $1 billion.
