John Lewis axes jobs due to online shopping increase

The Daily Mail reports department store John Lewis is set to
axe 325 store managers as a result of customers shopping more online. The piece
says there is an opportunity for affected staff to be redeployed in new roles
created as part of the restructure or in new shops due to open over the next 18
months.
