The growing number of employees giving their work address for the delivery of personal orders is causing huge problems in many large companies as their mail rooms simply do not have the space or the manpower to handle the extra volume. Some businesses have opted to install lockers so that employees can collect their orders from a central location in their breaks rather than have mailroom staff tied up taking them to recipients’ desks. Others have however banned employees from using the business address for any personal deliveries citing security issues as well as the inconvenience caused to other employees.
