New has broken that LK Bennett is poised to appoint administrators following an unsuccessful search for financial backing. The retailer which has been a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge was founded back in 1990 by Linda Bennett who had sold it to private equity investors in 2008, only to buy it back in 2018. The business had called on advisors last month to review its options and the result is the filing of intention to appoint an administrator.
There are 41 stores in the UK employing 480 staff and a further 52 stores overseas at stake.
