M&S website impacts sales

Marc Bolland, M&S CEO, has commented that sales performance in clothing and homewares in the 13 weeks to 28 June “is not good enough”, as the business reported its 12th quarterly fall in sales. Bolland specifically blamed the 8.1 per cent drop in online sales on assorted issues with its newly re-launched website which, at a cost over £150 million, had been expected to sharply accelerate growth in online revenues.
