Marshalls Seeds moves into b-to-b

Westland Horticulture-owned Marshalls Seeds is extending its
range to supply stores with 100 vegetable and herb
varieties.

The company believes that by extending the range into stores, it
will bring a new audience to garden centres. By the same token it
will introduce non-mail order buyers to Marshalls’ range.
Josephine Wilkinson, senior marketing manager at Westland, says
that following “extensive research into consumer buying we
identified a real desire and opportunity to bring the Marshalls
Seed range and brand into stores”. She adds that “the
range will appeal to consumers who really enjoy the experience of
visiting garden centres and browsing the range”.

The collection will be available in stores from January 2013. At
press time, a list of stockists was unavailable.
