Monica Vinader posts record year

Jewellery retailer Monica Vinader posted a 20 per cent increase in sales for the year to end July to reach £42.8 million with the US and Far East generating just under half of the total. During the year the Piper Equity backed business had opened a new store in Covent Garden as well as another at Bicester Village. Pre-tax profits came in at £2.1 million, up from £670,000 the previous year. Direct Commerce magazine readers nominated the brand for the Reader category of the Direct Commerce awards last year, applauding the business for its strong product design credentials as well as its online performance.
