New chief exec at Freemans Grattan

Freemans Grattan Holdings, the UK arm of Germany-based mail order
group Otto, has confirmed that John Hinchcliffe has been
appointed chief executive after a handover period with incumbent
boss Koert Tulleners.

Hinchcliffe returns to the business after eight years at N Brown
Group, the catalogue group behind Simply Be and Jacamo. He was
previously marketing director at Freemans Grattan from 2000 to
2003.

Koert Tulleners was promoted to chief executive of then Otto UK
on 1st September 2008. He replaced Mike Hancox, who joined TV
shopping business Ideal Shopping Direct.

Freemans Grattan Holdings has been undergoing a corporate
restructuring, which saw turnover deliberately cut from
€199 million to €164 million (£134.7 million,
$213.4 million) last year. Parent company Otto says the division
is now “moving into the profit zone”.
