Redcats UK may make up to 130 workers in Bradford and
Wakefield redundant, reports the Bradford Telegraph and Argus. But the
parent company of the Daxons, La Redoute and
Vertbaudet catalogues says it is making
“significant investment” to retain 500 logistics
and call centre positions.

Woolworths has started a closing-down sale, as
administrators Deloitte said that if it cannot find a buyer
within the next two weeks it will have to start shutting stores
before the end of the year. And according to the BBC, “Deloitte is also due to consult
with Woolworths’ 30,000 staff over the possibility of
redundancies”.
