The Times asks David and Clare Hieatt,

Howies: “Is it possible to retain the emotional

Arcadia boss Sir Philip Green is rubbishing rumours that he is looking for a
buyer for Bhs. The weekend papers claimed he is putting
Bhs on the market as he turns his attention to growing the
Topshop business.

Whilst retailers in the US haven’t had much smile about
lately, here’s some happier news from across the Atlantic:
“Online retail will continue to be a bright spot in the
industry” say Forrester Research and Shop.org. Online sales
will rise 17 per cent this year to $204 billion with apparel
($26.6 billion), computers ($23.9 billion), and autos ($19.3
billion) the three largest sales categories.
