Baugur, the Icelandic investment firm that owns
Mosaic Fashions, Hamleys and House of Fraser,
among other multichannel marketers, has “raised a
£430 million ‘war chest’,” according to The Times, to invest in additional
retailers in the UK, the US, China and India.

Pandora Books, a direct marketer of books for primary
and secondary schools has been purchased from founders Nick
and Mike Ison in a management buyout led by managing director
Martin Green, with investment from Key Capital Partners,
reports the Eastern Daily Press.
