Staples acquires Makr app


Staples is now able to offer its customers personalised sales promotion items and stationery via the Makr app which it has acquired for the iOS platform.  The app will have appeal for SMEs and boost Staples copy and print services business.

 “This gives Staples a design focused offering to support our traditional transactional mobile assets, as well as positioning Staples as an innovative company connecting with the Makr community,” commented Faisal Masud, EVP of global ecommerce, based at Staples, Framingham, MA. “It is also a sign of our investment in mobile, as we’re seeing more and more traffic through that channel.”
