Toast launches House & Home title

French Connection’s latest interim management statement, released
to the City earlier this month, said that following a
disappointing performance with the summer ranges Toast is now
showing signs of improvement. This may be because, as a Toast
spokesperson put it, the new House & Home products are
“selling like hotcakes”.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Toast has returned to its roots in home and lifestyle with the launch of a dedicated House & Home offering. The catalogue showcases a range of ethical and ecological products with a rustic feel. “Having this season just reached our 10th birthday, it feels very good to be getting back to ‘home wear’–a happy return to our origins,” said cofounder James Seaton.

The catalogue is a perfect-bound, 68-page book printed by Westdale Printing Group using recycled paper and vegetable-based inks. It features a range of sleepwear, socks and slippers alongside its furniture and bed and bath offering, and the company has said that spring/summer catalogue will offer a lot more choice. Among items to look out for, added the spokesperson, are teepees.
