Clipper secures Farfetch contract

Leeds-based Clipper Logistics has entered into an agreement with Farfetch in which it will provide pan-European e-fulfilment and returns management services from a new facility in Venray, Netherlands. The fulfilment specialist will support all of the Farfetch European requirements to support the 1300 brands and boutiques which trade from the Farfetch platform.

The new arrangement which will see Clipper employing some 600 personnel commences in April with a capacity for 2 million garments. Clipper already has eight distribution centres in Germany and Poland which employ more than 1500 staff.

Steve Parkin, executive chairman of Clipper commented: “Farfetch is an outstanding company with whom we are proud to have a growing relationship. This new contract facilitates our mutual growth aspirations and represents a significant extension of Clipper’s European footprint, one of our key strategic growth areas.”
