CTS wins five-year contract with Travis Perkins

Modernisation expert Cloud Technology Solutions (CTS) has won a five-year contract with Travis Perkins to improve its use of Google Workspace and drive further tech adoption across the £7billion turnover organisation.

The partnership will see CTS, one of Europe’s largest dedicated Google Cloud partners, manage Travis Perkins’ Google Workspace – formerly known as G Suite. The work will ensure the builders’ merchant, which employs 8,000 people, maximises value from the system across its organisations.

Travis Perkins has also agreed a two-year contract for CTS’s customer success service (CSS), which will see the team continuously assess the performance of Travis Perkins IT and make recommendations for any areas of improvements. The contract will also see CTS help begin a longer-term cloud technology strategy and roadmap for the business and its use of Google Workspace.

Matt Greaves, technology director at Travis Perkins, said: “Having a well-managed IT system is crucial in ensuring our business is efficient and collaborative. CTS quickly demonstrated to us that they understood the needs of an organisation of our scale and how we can make Google Workspace work harder for us.

“Their skills and expertise will also be beneficial to us as we progress with our longer-term cloud strategy – designed to further improve the effectiveness of our IT and modernise different elements of our business.”

Daniel Ackers, senior account manager for retail at CTS, said: “Google Workspace can be used in a multitude of different ways and most businesses require a different approach. To maximise value from the platform, and build a long-term modern IT strategy, it’s important organisations identify how they can take full advantage of the services it offers.

“This is an exciting project for us to work with a major UK brand to improve and leverage the value of Google Workspace, while paving the way for future adoption of cloud technology.”
