DCA Election Results

DCA Executive Chairman Alex Pratt, Deputy Executive Chairman
Mark Wilby, and President Nigel Swabey would like to extend their thanks to everybody who voted in the elections for the new Council Co-Chair positions.

These elections ended Friday 28th November
and these are the results. The newly
elected Co-Chairs will commence in their roles from 1st January
2015.

Catalogue Council

Firstly, thank you
to the voters who have demonstrated their belief in me, based on my track
record at the DCA – an organisation I believe in and am passionate about.

I shall continue
to put in the hours representing the views of the membership, whether client or
supplier. To make the Catalogue and Print Council the go-to place for best
practice, advice, discussion and news.

The DCA is the
ideal place from which to fight the corner for the value of catalogues and
direct mail in the multi-channel mix. It’s also unique in my experience as an
expert, high-level forum where member clients and suppliers alike share their
knowledge and experiences in an open and friendly environment.

I’m looking
forward to working closely with Andrew Wilson to take the DCA on to the next
level.

Catalogue Council

I am delighted to be elected to the co-chair of the
catalogue council. I am particularly looking forward to working with Tony to
develop the DCA’s strategy to serve and inform our members on all aspects of
selling by catalogue. Thank you to everyone who voted for me.

Digital Council

‘This is an exciting time to become the Co-Chair for the DCA
Digital Council with digital continuing to grow in importance for the DCA and
its members – I look forward to serving.’

Digital Council

‘It’s an honour to have been elected as Co-Chair with Dan Croxen-John
on the DCA Digital Council. Digital is probably the most complex – and arguably
most important – areas for any retailer and through great events, networking
and training I hope we can help open it up further for DCA members.’

Multichannel Council

Absolutely delighted to hear the news and I look forward to
working with Katy in helping steer the DCA as it re positions to provide a more
wider and deeper insights to its members.

Multichannel Council

I am looking forward to working with Phil to build a really
proactive Multichannel community within the DCA where we can share best
practice and grow our businesses even more profitably.

Store Council

Thank you to everyone who voted. I am delighted to become the
Co-Chair of the DCA Store Council. I believe passionately that channel
marketing silos are not sustainable within companies that want to survive and
grow. I hope that with other DCA colleagues we will be able to help
members integrate their thinking and their operations across any divides that
exist today.

As new Co-Chair of the DCA Store Council my aim is to work with
colleagues to bridge the gap between store, direct and online thinking.
Businesses that put the customer in the centre of their planning will survive
and thrive. My aim is to ensure DCA will help that process.

TV Council

I’m delighted to be elected Co-Chair of the DCA’s TV Council and will work with Pete Mills to guide DCA members through the key DRTV regulatory and creative processes, enabling them to run successful campaigns in a controlled and effective manner

TV Council

I am very excited and honoured to be elected to this
position of Co-Chair of the TV Council for the DCA.

I very much look forward to working with Phil Haslam from
Guthy Renker as my Co-Chair of the TV Council and to bring our best experience
and insight of the dynamic and high growth medium of DRTV and TV shopping for
the benefit of the membership of the DCA
