Deal “all wrapped up” at The Mailshop

A management buyout, led by new Managing Director John Ellis, has been completed at The Mailshop, Nottingham.

The deal was completed last week involving the existing Management team Tom Carr, Jim McQuade, Lisa Mullin and Michelle Cram. Nigel Maybury who has held a role of non-exec chairman will also become a minority shareholder.

The Mailshop based in Hucknall, Nottingham are specialists in all elements of direct mail with capabilities in paper wrapping, high speed inkjetting, mailing fulfilment and are experts at providing postage savings for their clients’ marketing campaigns.

Working with a wide range of direct commerce clients across multiple sectors the business has been in an ideal position to weather the recent pandemic and to be able to help their clients grow their businesses throughout the various lockdowns. The specialist skills and expertise at The Mailshop have ensured that the very best support is provided to their clients enabling the delivery of the very best results.

The Mailshop which has a turnover of £13M and employs 80 staff has experienced continued growth during the last 18 months and is looking for further progression with Ellis on board.
