Direct Corporate Clothing buys Incorporatewear

Oldbury-based Direct Corporate Clothing (DCC) has acquired Incorporatewear from the Workwear Group.

The acquisition makes DCC the largest independently owned specialist workwear, uniforms and PPE provider in the UK and will increase the group’s total revenues to around £90 million (up from over £40 million).

Both companies will continue to operate independently, with no immediate impact on employees, clients or suppliers. Incorporatewear’s current senior management team will remain in place, under the continued leadership of general manager Ed Grigg.

Sam Sohal, DCC’s joint managing director, said: “The acquisition will further strengthen our current client base and add new sectors, which complement each company’s supply chain and service offering. The two companies will operate independently but will share best practice to enhance their overall product offerings.”

Ed Grigg said: “These are exciting times in the next chapter of the ICW story. The combination of two such recognised brands in the industry will provide great opportunities for our existing and new customers, whilst allowing us to continue to deliver on our strategic objectives”.

DCC was advised by KPMG and Gowling WLG, and Workwear Group was advised by Deloitte and Addleshaw Goddard.
