Express Newspapers has placed a three-year contract with Polestar for the production of four weekly supplements:
- Saturday – for the Daily Express
- S Magazine – for the Sunday Express
- Hot TV – for the Daily Star
- TV Extra – for the Daily Star Sunday.
The deal constitutes circa 125 million magazines per annum, with text printing at Polestar Sheffield and covers at Polestar Chantry from early January 2016.
Martin Ellice, Group Joint Managing Director at Northern & Shell, said: ‘Having already worked with Polestar on our Celebrity Magazines New and Star this was a strategic move for us and printing in the UK will give us greater flexibility’
David Gray, Group Sales Director at Polestar, said: ‘It is fantastic that Express Newspapers has placed these four weekly magazines with Polestar and that we have won them back into the UK from Europe. Polestar used to print the titles for many years and we are delighted to be doing so again. They fit perfectly into the profile of core weeklies produced at Polestar Sheffield.’
