Ideal Shopping Direct has completed the acquisition of Craft Channel Productions Ltd for its Craft Retail Group (CRG) division. The deal will accelerate plans to develop new craft strands for the business and will open up a number of new product development opportunities. CRG managing director Tony Sheridan commented “this acquisition immediately places us in the cake craft market through the website cakecrafting.co.uk which is an exciting and growing sector that we are keen to develop. We will also have the opportunity to develop the Tattered Lace branded product which has been one of the best-selling brands in paper craft in recent years.”
CRG operates craft specific retail and sourcing businesses, TV channels Create and Craft TV and Craft Extra TV broadcast 24 hours a day in the UK on Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat platforms. The division also operates several eCommerce sites including createandcraft.tv, deramores.com, sew.co.uk . In addition, with offices in Shanghai and the UK, and partnerships in the USA, CRG’s in-house prodict development company Ideal Sourcing creates proprietary propositions for the group’s channels and 3rd party partners.
Craft Channel Productions is a company founded and managed by Craft TV personality Stephanie Weightman.
