TV shopping specialist Ideal Shopping Direct which operates Create & Craft and Ideal World has entered into an agreement with Openpay to enable its customers to access interest-free flexible payment plans. This is the first multichannel retail signing for Openpay in the UK and offers customers a number of payment options from Ideal Shopping Direct’s websites, with a choice of five, eight or eleven month plans. The new service will also extend to TV shopping customers shortly. Openpay launched in the UK earlier this year following a record period of growth in Australia.
Openpay UK managing director Andy Harding said: “Moving into the broadcast retail space is a new area of the market for Openpay and Ideal World’s multichannel approach is an exciting proposition for us. We are pleased to be able to offer their customers another transparent, more flexible way of paying for things, especially big-ticket items, that can now be spread over a longer period.”
