John Lewis has recruited Amir Goshtai (pictured) as director of its financial services arm as it moves to extend further into provision of credit, loans and insurance. Plans are to quadruple John Lewis’ financial services offering over the next five years. Goshtai is moving from his role of managing director of Experian’s marketplace to take up the new role in June.

Pippa Wicks, executive director John Lewis commented: “Our ambition is to grow our financial services offering to our customers over the next five years; with a particular focus on areas in which trust really matters to our customers. Amir’s impressive experience working through digital transformations and delivering data-driven products will ensure the growth of our great range of financial products and services.”
