John Lewis strengthens team

Steve Masterton has joined as director of online trade, Stephen Spencer will join in July as director of store of the future, and Rosie Hanley will be head of brand and Marketing from July.

Steve Masterton was digital director at Dunelm and will be responsible for driving online demand across all categories and services, leveraging the £50m investment the business has made in its digital presence. Stephen Spencer joins from Lululemon and will be involved in the reworking of the John Lewis store chain. Meanwhile, Rosie Hanley joins from eBay to lead brand strategy.

They bring with them an enormous amount of talent and experience, and will all play critical leadership roles in delivering our turnaround strategy as we invest to accelerate our online business, make our existing and future new format shops extraordinary destinations and modernise our brand.
