Joules warns on lockdown effect on performance

Joules is amongst a number of retailers with significant exposure to the high street to warn that lockdowns have decimated its projected sales. Its store sales came in 58 per cent lower than forecast for the seven weeks to January 3rd, however, online channels were 66 per cent up, saving the day. The business expects revenues to be between £14m-£18m down overall as the latest lockdowns started to take effect, and the 2021 country shows at which it usually takes pop-up trading space all seem likely to be cancelled.
