Mindful Chef acquired by Nestlé

Mindful Chef has been acquired by Nestlé following a two-year investment from Piper Equity during which time Mindful Chef sales have increased five-fold to £50m. The certified B-Corp was founded in 2015 and has since delivered more than 9.5 million recipe box meals to households across the UK.

With its focus on using healthy ingredients from ethical suppliers, Mindful Chef donates a meal for every meal sold, to a child living in poverty through its ‘One Feeds Two’ initiative, which has seen more than five million meals donated so far. The brand’s focus on health and nutrition has also seen Mindful Chef appointed the official nutrition partner for the English Institute of Sport while its partnership with the British Heart Foundation aims to raise awareness of how a healthy, balanced diet can help support heart and circulatory health. Testament to this, Sir Andy Murray, Victoria Pendleton CBE and Will Greenwood MBE are among its legions of fans.

The business has enjoyed growing demand through the Covid-19 pandemic as consumers turn to healthier eating.
