Neptune caught breaching recycling requirements

Swindon based Neptune, a multichannel furniture retailer has been ordered to make payments totalling £17,350 to the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. This comes as the business was found not to have recycled enough of its waste packaging for a 13 year period from 2004 until 2017.

All companies producing more than 50 tonnes of packaging a year which have a turnover of £2 million + are required to register with the Environment Agency or a packaging compliance scheme, as well as meet their responsibilities for recycling waste packaging.

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust will use the money for four local projects.
