Royal Mail Saturday Delivery Update

Royal Mail Saturday Delivery Update

On 28th April, Royal Mail announced a temporary change to postal arrangements on Saturdays. Here is the latest update from them about this:

“We will continue to deliver most parcels from Monday to Saturday across the country. We are updating everyone today about the length of time this temporary arrangement will last.

We are putting in place a temporary relaxation of the USO, which will be for a six-week period ending on 13 June 2020.

The temporary adjustment is solely to deal with the absence, quality and volume issues created by the pandemic. The USO will then revert as normal to six day letters.  This strikes an appropriate balance between the need to keep the UK connected at this time and easing the strain on our hard-working colleagues as much we can”.
