Silversurfers thanks its 300,000 Facebook fans

The Silversurfers Facebook community has achieved the major milestone of 300,000 “Likes”.

Creative Director, Sally Lock, who manages all social media activity said: “Our friends on Facebook are a wonderful community who love to comment, have fun and interact. The major change in the last few months is that our interaction levels now regularly surpass Daily Mail and Telegraph social media. I am very proud that we have such a strong community spirit and we have a really loyal and supportive group of people.”

Sally Lock, continued: “Some of our posts are shared thousands of times and reach millions of people. More recently we realized that the over 50s are keen to have way to express their views and concerns. In response we have launched our Barometer Surveys and we will be publishing our findings on a regular basis through 2016.”

With over 6 million over 50s having a Facebook account, social media is being very widely used by this age group.
