Strike to leave George

Strike to leave George

Stephanie Strike has resigned from her role of managing director of George at Asda and will leave the business later this year. Strike (pictured) has worked at Asda since 1995 and has held her current role for eighteen months. She leaves for another role, which as yet has not been disclosed.

This will see the George team reporting to Asda CEO Roger Burnley until a successor is appointed. Burnley will also be leaving the retailer following its acquisition from Walmart by the business headed by the Issa brothers.

“Steph has given exceptional service to Asda over a 25 year period during which she has successfully led a number of different functions whilst mentoring and inspiring many colleagues to fulfil their potential,” said Burnley, adding: “Whilst we are very sorry to see her go, her new opportunity is an excellent one and she leaves with our best wishes.”
