Strong half for ASOS

ASOS names non-executive directors

ASOS has reported a strong half year with sales up by 22 per cent in the UK and by 31 per cent overseas as well as a 17 per cent increase in its active customer base. During the period a total of 29.9 million orders were placed with average basket value up by 2 per cent.

ASOS CEO Nick Beighton said “These results show strong trading at the same time as we are making a substantial investment in our future. Our customer engagement is going from strength to strength and we’ve achieved more than a billion site visits for the first time.” Adding, “Alongside our investment in people and our technology, we are accelerating investment in our distribution and logistics, laying the foundation for £4 billion of net sales, a further step in building ASOS into the world’s number one destination for fashion loving 20-somethings.”
