House of Fraser records increased sales


The House of Fraser which was recently acquired by Nanjing Cenbest has reported sales of £1.2

billion for the 52 weeks to 25 January 2014.

During the period its online sales grew by 41 per cent to represent 12.2 per cent of sales. The business also posted its highest ever profit of £430.6 million, up by £26.8 million. It credited the redesign and enhancement of its website together with improved delivery options as instrumental to its improved online sales. New house brand launches including an Italian inspired mens formal wear collection Corviso, as well as range extensions for Linea, Dickins & Jones, and Label Lab women and menswear, and the opening of store in Abu Dhabi each contributed to sales growth.
