Upmarket Swiss beauty brand la prairie has chosen to use Demandware’s cloud commerce platform to form the backbone of its international digital commerce operations. The business has already launched online commerce in the US, Australia and the UK, and now plans to launch sites for eight other countries by 2016. la prairie offers skincare, colour and fragrance products in more than 4,600 retail locations in 90 countries and prior to its switch to Demandware it was using a combination of hosted and on-premise platforms that were no longer agile enough to support the company’s brand and growth strategy. It made the switch for a more robust, scalable platform to support its global commerce operations with fast time to market and highly branded consistent consumer experiences across its multiple sites and territories.

la prairie’s new digital properties feature rich imagery on every page, detailed product pages and immersive brand experiences, such as “Your Skincare Advisor”, an interactive tool which guides customers through a personalised skincare consultation.
