The IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index has shown that
online retail sales were up 9 per cent year-on-year in July, the weakest growth
since January 2010. The Index also recorded the first-ever negative growth
between June and July (-2 per cent), following strong annual growth in June (20
per cent). The study also found that online sales for high-street retailers rose
6 per cent year-on-year in July, while m-commerce growth was up 129 per cent
year-on-year.
