Sainsbury’s is to test a new web offering of its Tu clothing range with customers in the West Midlands. Orders will be fulfilled from its clothing warehouse in Bedford which currently services the 400 stores which stock the ranges and between them account for some £750 million of clothing sales. Customers will be offered the choice of Clock & Collect or direct to home delivery. Sainsbury’s which first launched a clothing range in 1994 is taking a cautious first foray into a fully fledged eCommerce offering, but already has a significant share of the retail clothing market.
