Royal
Mail is keeping some Post Offices open later as part of a new click and collect
initiative. Later this year, Royal Mail, working with the Post Office, will
become the largest click and collect network in the UK. Around 10,500 Post Office
branches will be taking part in the initiative, which will enable consumers to
collect goods ordered online at their local branch. Royal Mail is currently
talking to a number of large online retailers about integrating this service
into their websites later this year and plans to extend the service to smaller
retailers in 2014.
