Backlash after Amazon tax bill

Online giant Amazon faces a backlash from British MPs after
it emerged that its total tax bill for last year was £3.1 million, even though
UK sales topped £4 billion. According to the Independent, Amazon’s corporation
tax bill was just £2.44 million, “less than the £2.5 million it received
from the Scottish Government in inducements to build a new distribution
warehouse in Dunfermline”.
