According to a piece in the Financial Times, UK food
wholesaler Booker is expected to get regulatory clearance to acquire Metro
Group’s UK wholesale business Makro UK within weeks – after its agreement of a
£139.7 million deal last year. The article reveals the Competition Commission
had provisionally cleared the acquisition and expected the final ruling to be
issued on or around April 24.
