M&S thought to be subject of share cash bid

The Daily Mail’s This is Money column reports that Marks
& Spencer is alleged to be the subject of an £8 billion or £5 a share cash
bid from a private equity consortium. The piece says it is rumoured KKR and
Apax Partners have been mentioned as possible members of the consortium, while
dealers said that CVC Capital Partners could also be a player as it was
believed to have been interested in M&S last year.
