Following the news that it is axing its TV channel, Argos
has now announced it is exiting its Chinese venture after only four months of
trading. The Times reports Argos has already invested £10 million in the joint
venture with Chinese partner the Haier Group, “but is retaining a second
tranche of £12 million to spend on its British business”.
