Iceland, which achieved sales of £2.71 billion for the year to 28 March 2014, is set to roll out the online ordering service it commenced offering from 280 of its stores in 2013-14. Online orders are fulfilled and shipped from the customers’ local stores, leveraging Iceland’s existing home delivery fleet and staffing. A further 600 stores will offer the service in the current financial year with a longer term goal of the service covering eventually some 85 per cent of the population. Iceland is also set launch an online appliances offering via a white label partnership with ao.com
