GFS has moved into a new and larger head office as well as opened a northern consolidation depot in Warrington in order to facilitate growth in demand for its carrier management services. The business moved some 10 million parcels for its clients last year.
The HQ move allows for a dedicated customer training centre at its head office which will enable the business to support clients migrating to its service. Whereas the new facility in Warrington, which mirrors that operated in by GFS in Coventry, will now allow clients based in Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire and Staffordshire to access the single collection service operated by GFS from which items from all clients are consolidated and injected into the relevant individual delivery systems. This process, says GFS, simplifies and streamlines the despatch process for clients without creating complications and eradicates their need to deal with multiple carriers.
The business has also strengthened its systems development team with additional recruits who will be based at its Athens and complement the team it has in Russia.
