Waitrose will test the option of refrigerated locker deliveries at London Gatwick Airport as well as at four stations on the London Underground network. Keen to target returning travellers and commuters to offer the ultimate convenience, Waitrose joins a raft of supermarkets vying to provide the best delivery service choices for the weekly shop. Lockers are being tested at Waitrose HQ. Customers placing orders will have their orders confirmed via a text message containing a PIN which will open the locker containing their order. The service will be free for those spending over £50 and orders placed by 11.45am will be able to be collected the next day.
