Releasing its financial results this morning, Shop Direct
Group delivered a rise of 5 percent in total sales for six weeks to 29th
December. The trading statement, which covers the Very.co.uk, Littlewoods and
Isme brands among others, revealed that mobile devices accounted for a record
28 percent of online sales, with tablets driving two-thirds of those. Despite
this solid performance group chief executive Alex Baldock says he expects sales
to slow towards Easter and to remain broadly flat for the year.
