14% sales rise at The White Company

Also buoyant was apparel and homewares retailer The White
Company. It reports that pre-Christmas sales increase by 13 percent in the
eight weeks to 22nd December, helped by store openings in Winchester and
Chichester, writes the Financial Times. For fiscal 2011/2012, The White Company
reported a 14 percent rise in sales to £116 million, while operating profits
more than doubled to £4.5 million on the previous year.
