Park sees revenue rise


Christmas savings group Park saw revenues rise 2 percent to
£46.9 million in the first half of the year, while pretax losses narrowed from
£4.4 million to £4.1 million in the six months to 30th September. The company
sells Christmas hampers as well as vouchers that can be used in high street
retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Argos and Iceland. Its web-based gift
voucher retailer, highstreetvouchers.com, saw revenues rise by 24.2 percent to
£4.6 million in the period. It notes that corporate customers are also ordering
directly online. It processed £7 million in corporate orders in the first half,
37 percent above last year’s level. It expects that more than £100 million of
orders will be booked online in the current financial year.
